Cosmetic Question - Footwell and trunk lights
Hey dudes! Just wondering how you're getting your LED strip footwell and trunk lights to stick in the heat. Mine keep falling and I'm wondering if I primed them right, etc.
What are you using? 3M? Some sort of fancy bracket? |
This is the one I have in my trunk.
http://www.diodedynamics.com/store/l...led-strip.html It came with 3M Adhesive integrated with the strip and is applied directly to the metal inside the top of the trunk. I have had no issues through the summer. All I did was a quick alcohol wipe of the placement to clean before I stuck the light on. |
I'm gonna buy 3M holder tape because the stock ones aren't doing the job haha.

this is what I used in my footwell lights on my Camaro and now on my FR-S, has never fallen even in 100+ temperature.

When I turn my lights on the foot well illumination comes on. They're brightness is even tied in with your dash's brightness level! Pretty cool. I'll take some pics or video tonight if I can remember. I believe the kit cost me around $225CAD. I had it installed when I bought the car, so it carries my 3 year comprehensive warranty which is pretty nice as well. |
