The Craziest Thing Ever!!
We are all very proud of our cars, but we always like to hear something that makes them even cooler. I actually work at a Toyota dealership in Florida and we recently had a young man trade in a GTR for a FR-S. Now, before you blow up on the poor guy, hear him out. His reasoning behind the trade was that he was moving to Texas where they are known to have hail storms and he would be without a garage to protect it. Now, between that and lowering his payment considerably he was happy with his purchase. He was also pleased with the fact that he could afford to modify his car now and drive it to the limit every day.

WOW. Cray cray
|
I'm having trouble with holding back the tears..
|
Damn how much positive equity did he have to his name?
|
That is where people get it wrong with "affording" the car.
Repayments ain't it. |
how much did the dealer give for his car??
i feel like like he possibly could of been at a loss, depending on how much he owed on the car and with the new car.... |
He actually broke even as far as equity is concerned. It was worth exactly what he owed on it. He was just happy to be able to afford parts for it. Aftermarket parts for the GTR are ridiculously priced apparently. LOL
|
trade in value of gtr being almost exactly the otd cost of a FRS? Sounds like a smart salesman to me....
|
Well seems there's fair share selling twins to cause they can't afford it either. People need to do more math B4 the dive...
|
What's the crazy part? Was he not wearing any pants?
|
He's also not the first to trade in a GTR for a twin?:iono:

Seems like this kind of fits into area of other posts where individuals have traded in cars like a Boxster or Cayman and went with an 86... |
Imo. I would never trade in a GTR but he got his reasons and on a side note, if you dont have money savings at the end of a month, then you shouldn't be buying a new car haha.

Where in Texas? I would like to meet this guy. For reasons.
