spyder is a "cheap" brand...cheap as in cheap quality. they're no different than the "TYC" or "APC" bullshit from back in the day.

im more surprised about people being surprised of spyder's product qualities (or lack of). lol

Not possible. There are dozens of people on here that claim made in China headlights are just as good as OEM.

TYC is an OEM manufacturer :slap:


Fixing these lights, well, depends if he can get them warrantied or not. As they're not yellowing yet, fixing them wouldn't be terribly hard, but he shouldn't have to in the first place.

And in the VW scene, Depo used to be the joke/cheap lights. Some products have bad models/runs.

I have the spyder headlights and other than OEM GT86 lights I love them. They do not look cheap in person. But it's also only been a few months and no winter yet.
