Interior scratches

Hi,

I have accumulated a few scratches on the interior black plastic trim, mainly towards the bottom of the drivers boor when getting in and out.

Tried to wipe them off with a damp cloth but no good, so looks like the black finish has been compromised.

Can does anyone know how to get rid of these? Will 'Back to black' products work or some form of light abrasive to blend?

Ideally don't want to be respraying panels.

Cheers

I kick the shit out of mine too. Just deal with it.

Heat. It's the only way.

any useful suggestions appreciated

WD40 is supposed to help with scuff marks. I've tried liquid wax and it's gotten rid of my scuffs.

Try Stay Fresh's leather conditioner, I used it on mine and it did a real good job of eliminating the scuff marks while making the surface look better than new. The leather condiioner also works on pretty much every interior part of the vehicle. I have a review on here with various pictures as well.

Yep, heat works great on thermoplastics, just gotta be careful with it.

Any advice or recommendations on getting scuff marks out of your door panels? My gf has done a number on the passenger side with her heels and other 50 billion pairs of shoes she owns.

See my post above :)

This is exactly why I haven't even bothered looking at the JPM alcantara speaker panels. I'd end up scuffing them with my boot and then I'd be pissed.

Hmm I might try this, nothing I've tried has gotten rid of the marks.

[edit] Man this is scary. The smell of plastic was intense. I actually overdid one spot too much and it looked "flat" instead of shiny, so I stopped early. It eventually dried to look fine. I might try more another time :D

The pictures don't show it well, but it's about 50% better.

Like getting rid of an old tattoo :D

I was too scared of compromising the texture. I waved the heatgun like crazy on low about 3 inches away.. trying to heat everything up evenly.
