Some 1 tried to steal my Fog Lights?
:mad0260: So one day I noticied that something was hanging from the bottom of my bumper but I thought it was just the plastic rubber that clips to the bottom of the bumper, which i took off the plastic retainers because I was about to remove my bumper soon to install a lip. So I started to really look into it further today because I kept hearing a hissing sound while driving. I stopped pulled over and finally took a more serious closer look.
It looks like someone was trying to steal my fog lights because it looks like someone was cutting a cone shape to get access to my fog lights or something! what else would they want to go under the body of my car???? Pictures. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...ps81a051db.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...ps3306c64a.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...psf1455d6b.jpg What is the rubber thing called or can someone point me to the Part # for getting it replaced. Its the rubber thing that goes around your tire from protecting your car from debries or water going inside your bumper or car in general. This is on the right hand side. |
I'm sorry to hear that man. People are ass holes. Someone tried to steal my 86 center caps. I have huge gouges on the sides where they tried to pry them up with a flat head screw driver.

it looks like this picture http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/313J-391IhL.jpg this is not the real part for the scion fr-s. just looking around for images. |
Your dealer will be able to order them for you.
If it costs too much there, you may be lucky and find a dirty one at a junk yard or pick-and-pull type place. |
I believe the part # is SU003-01384 its called a Fender Splash Shield, Front Right.
I found this image pic which looks like the complete fender splash shield and the piece on the bottom of it. http://img.auto-kat.com/toyota/USA/A1/533699%20.gif |

My clips got demolished autoxing and i had the front section fold down while driving and get caught under the tire which caused a large tear in the liner that looks just like yours. Are you running larger wheels/tires than stock? In the first image you posted it looks like there is wear in that inside edge from tire contact...

Could this be from debris? Maybe I'm not looking in the right places but I don't see any cut marks, just torn plastic.
