Valenti rear reverse help

Just wired up my Valenti reverse light. The LED triangle is constantly on when the lights are on and when I brake it flashes 3 times F1 style. How do I sort this out? I'm sure its only supposed to come on when the Reverse fog is turned on but instead the LED triangle(that i think is meant to be the reverse fog) stays on constantly. It's pretty blinding. Have i wired it up wrong? Nothing turns on or off when i turn reverse fog on.

I need a reverse fog light in the UK to be legal, it can't just stay on.

You need to open it up and change the wiring, its a pretty simple job. Sorry i cant be much help but have a look around on google for something like "valenti rear fog rewire" etc. You will find it.

It used to be that just the "-v-" bar would light up as a running light and the triangle would light up solid when you pressed the brakes. For some reason, Valenti stopped selling that version and started making the new version which you got. Looks the same, but wired differently. Someone did do a write-up somewhere (not this forum) where they changed the wiring back to the old version.

any idea how this reverse light needs to be wired to use it as just a reverse light, and make the " V " light up with running lights but no triangle light (no fog or brake)? I already installed it and i think i will have to remove the lamp and take it apart. Its a real PITA to remove though since i have to take off my rear diffuser and pull muffler hangers just to get it out.
