I did this on the Vortech IC to get rid of the logo and on the Perrin Oil cooler that was silver read about this a long time ago nice to see some backyard science back it up. If anyone wants to do it I always recommend this paint as it has a higher temp range and wont burn off as fast.

Has anyone had issues with the black paint chipping due to rocks and regular road debris? Mine looks like a starry night now. :(

should we just paint the whole engine compartment black lol? So a radiator benefits as well?

Haha that was way too long to get to the point. I also noticed the difference they had between the painted and non-painted IC was 3 degrees in favor of the non-painted IC in the actual tests with airflow going through the IC.

The reality is any differences one way or the other is negligible at best. Do whatever you think looks best on your car.

Would this same concept work on a radiator?
