Motul Motylgear 75W90 ? (not Gear 300)
Hello guys
been trying a search about it but seems like everyone uses gear 300 but i have not found much info regarding Motylgear 75W90 as its Gl4/5 but not sure if its fine for our aisin gearbox?? As in australia its quite hard for me to source the gear 300 i only found Motylgear 75W90 stuff but not sure if this is a slightly inferior product or compared the gear 300 its alot worse. Im trying to flush the gearbox sitting at 3900miles as its been hard to shift from down from 3rd to second (more like impossible without going to neutral then in) when it is cold everytime. Any replies will be appreciated Thanks! |

Ended up going with Redline MT90 and 75W90 for the gearbox and diff. I'd go for those as they are cheaper and much easier to find in Aus. |

Thanks for the replies! If i can get this 2nd gear shifting issues im definitely interesting a motec shift spring though haha |
I have the Motyl Gear in my FR-S right now.
A local shop has them in stock and their car runs it, so I gave it a try. So far I have about 5400 miles on the fluid, and under normal driving, honestly I don't notice any difference. I guess that's a good thing. At the track with OEM trans fluid, I had couple times where downshifting from 4th to 3rd required a good amount of force to get into gear while heel-toe'ing. I've tracked the car 3 times now since Motul, and haven't had any issues. Car has about 10,600 miles now. |
