Digital gauges on the Head Unit - Sony XAV-712BT with MirrorLink

Just a quick video overview of my Sony XAV-712BT showcasing MirrorLink with Torque Pro for digital gauges, as well as a few other funky features...

Discovered a lot from your video. Didn't know about Mirrorlink, very cool. Same with that wristband, it appears to be a SWR10 smartband for the curious. Your setup looks great!

Nice video, I've got the 601BT with Mirrorlink. But it's pure USB and it's practically useless due to the unresponsive nature and touch failure on the head unit.

I noticed some lag in your video when scrolling, how does the MHL connection improve on this? I wanted Mirrorlink so could use the Google Maps, but that wasn't possible as you couldn't really input anything and lagged to hell.

Were you able to plug the GPS antenna from stock into this unit or uses it's own?

Side question, where did you get the dash garnish from and how much?

Thanks, do you know if there's a version with NAV built in. I can't see it on the Sony website?

It depends on your region mate. Here in Australia it's sold as a bundle with the NAV unit (which is what I have).

the nav module plugs in via USB so you can always add it later.

Thanks, do you reckon if I mirrored RaceChrono from an android tablet would it use the GPS of the head unit or the tablet? I'd want to keep the tablet out of the way in the glove box.

Not really the XAV612BT would be the same as his but 6". That one you have is a generation behind.

Also what version of firmware are you running? Make sure you have the Mirrorlink setting enable on the unit?

It was a custom order from a local decal supplier.

I have an Xperia Z2, but the XAV712 is the next generation from the 602 and 702 (2013 models). I had a 702 in my WRX and it worked fine with my xperia Z.

Thanks. Couple questions. Got a link to the dash trim kit you use? What's the name of the hip-hop song at the beginning of the wristband portion of the vid?
