PSA: If you are having ongoing issues, please call Corporate

I see so many times on here that people are having issues after being fixed such as transmission grinding, fuel pump (this one may not be very fixable), cam plates leaking oil, etc. If Toyota or Subaru do not know about these issues, then they won't do anything. I urge you to call them, open a case, and tell them what you're experiencing.

My dad works for Toyota and he says it is much more effective to call the corporate office than take it to the dealership because corporate will hear first hand from you, and if they hear enough from other people, then they will work on a fix. There are many issues still out there that are plaguing a lot of people, and if corporate doesn't know about them, then we may never get fixes.

So if you are having troubles with your transmission or engine or anything with your car that seems to plague a lot of other owners, PLEASE call corporate and let them know. I promise that if enough people do, then they will try to make a better part.

Also, if you are having issues, you may get a free warranty or cash incentive tagged on to your case. Because of my transmission woes, I got a free extended warranty and some money for my troubles. I'm not saying you will, but contrary to popular belief, they DO want to help the owners.

I don't think they will ever fix the "chirp" noise... although there is a billion posts about it.. it's the ethanol creating it. I don't get them for the past 29,000 miles (except testing at the beginning). I fill up non-ethanol once a week, and just cap it off with regular fuel between. Rant off ;)
