bang her really well Saturday night? I don't know.. two days are usually difficult to pull over unless she goes with me to the event (like picton) |
I'll be there, pending the birth of my child (getting close to the due date).

THIS SUNDAY< SUNDAY< SUNDAY!!

I think I might have to skip this one :( Didn't get nearly as much done around the house as I wanted to this weekend, and I can't bail on helping out at the OTA event at Shannonville on Saturday.

so long as you get lots of lapping out of shannonville, it was always my favorite track to bomb around on |
Are these events open to spectators?

of course! why would you think otherwise? |

but why still... this is a very big problem the entire "scene" has, every year we get dozens of people who confess to us that they were "unsure" of how to get involved and many people I talk to seem to think that this whole thing is somehow "inclusive" when the Auto Show or the next parking-lot meet rolls around, does it cross your mind that "maybe I'm not allowed there?" :) , of course not.. but when it comes to lapping/time-attack/autocross people get apprehensive I'm very curious as to why people have these feelings. |

I would agree with you that I'd be apprehensive about showing up solo to my first event (haven't been to autox, just one hpde). I know there are workshops and training for beginning of season but perhaps a quick 15-30 minute session at the beginning of each session for any new comers to gather to learn the ropes real quick, if anything just to meet fellow 'newbies' so they've got some easy people to approach during the day - maybe this already happens. |
