Factory Service Manual

Is the factory service manual available yet? I did some Googling and couldn't seem to find it. What I'd love is a hardcopy, or a way to purchase a legitimate PDF. I know they offer subscription services, but I'd rather just own it.

Thanks,
Brett

Yeah sign me up. I wont own the car for at least a year or two but I enjoy learning about engines.

You can get all the Subaru info here: http://techinfo.subaru.com
Service manuals, TSB's, etc. all as .pdf's

do they even make hard copies anymore? my dad retired from nissan a few years ago and i believe he said everything was on the computer now. other manufacturers could be different.

It doesn't appear to available for download yet. The link on the website under ''whats new'': HTML Diagnostics 2013 BRZ Service Manual V0 May 11, 2012 [View PDF] *links to a blank page. Ill write Subaru and try to get my 40 bucks back.

^Thanks for testing it out. Sucks it's not up yet.

Sorry about that, you are correct, the .pdf for the BRZ is NOT up yet...there is an html version but I think it is only available to dealers....I'll post again as soon as the .pdf is posted.

I've definitely seen hard copies of every year GD Impreza service manual, not sure about GH/GR/GV. Personally, I don't have enough space in the garage for a laptop/tool chest/speakers, so an electronic copy is less useful to me.

I spoke with the parts guy at my dealership a couple of days ago. They don't have a part number for them, yet, but they do expect a hard copy to be available.

For $200 to $300. :eyebulge:

I'm going to bug Bentley about making a manual for this car. They're about a mile from my house, so I might try to woo them in person (but, no, I will NOT let them disassemble my car!). If you want one, please ping them!

I saw some shots of the dash where the gear number displayed on the odometer/info read out. I thought this was only for AT's but the manual (pg 153) says that you can set MT's up to do it too. The instructions are pretty clear - hit the odo button 4 times - but i can't get it to work. All I can see is odo, trip A and trip B. No sign of the illusive fourth "gear" display.
Has anyone else tried this?

Sounds about right. You're surprised or something?

It does work, but the manual's wrong. I think the manual says the ignition needs to be in ON, but in fact you need to be in ACC. Possibly even off.
