Things I wish for.... Please Toyota!

hey guys, I'm a reader on this site, but today I got this feeling to join and write somethings that I wish toyota (or even subaru) do for the FT86 when it comes to mass production

1- I don't want 18/19" rims (please stay at 15 or 16 inches, and 17 as optional size)
2- Don't go for a ricer look twin/quad exhaust tips (single tip is good and save weight )
3- keys.... I want old school style keys. Why have a push botton, and if so just at least make it like the S2000's ones (I like to hold my car key in my hand)
4- This is not hard at all, I want a two-tone color option (kinda feel nostalgic to this one as my father used to take me to school in his two-tone R31 skyline) and wish they make it true, remember the 80's :party0030:

also guys, any update about subaru 216A?? is it true that they will have a 2.5L engine with turbo? what about awd (hopfully)

1- I don't want 18/19" rims (please stay at 15 or 16 inches, and 17 as optional size) agree, the Smaller the better, but I know it won't go 15inch. No car I know today goes 15.
2- Don't go for a ricer look twin/quad exhaust tips (single tip is good and save weight ) twin exhaust like S2000
3- keys.... I want old school style keys. Why have a push botton, and if so just at least make it like the S2000's ones (I like to hold my car key in my hand) Pushbutton saves gas, and possibly be less harmful on the engine over a long period of time

and Subaru's AWD sucks in my oppinion...for a performance car. For moving around Alaska and off roading, its perfect.

1- Wheels can always be changed.
2- Concept duals dont look ricey.
3- I couldnt care less.

I think there was a rumor of subie not doing an AWD variant.

1, If the car can fit 20 max in, I would go with 18(aftermarket wheels, example: BBS, Rays, Konig, etc.,..)
2, Dual pipe is not only for looking. I vote for dual, but not quart.
3, I want push start button.

Yes.... They have shitty performance, so they don't break track records or take 1st, 2nd, 3rd places at all. Yes, Subie AWD are crap.

CyberFormula 07-26-2010 01:18 AM

In my oppinion...yes...definitely are crap...Audi is even worst.

Then what's you opinion of best awd performance car? Please don't tell me Skyline GT-R.

Siriusly.Andrew 07-26-2010 02:41 AM

Well the GT-R has the best performance AWD system, but next in line in my book is Subaru's, then Mitsubishi. Thats my preference anyways.

I find it hard to use the Skyline as a benchmark for AWD systems, as its stupidly expensive, and only available on the one car. Subaru offers tried, tested and proven AWD systems on almost their entire line-up. Mitsubishi has a pretty decent system too, but its highly dependent on sensors and monitoring systems to operate efficiently.

those Ken Block videos are just sick. I remember changing my pants after watching the first one a while back. Having an awesome sound system helped too lol.

My buddy at work was telling me about it when it came out. I was like, it can't be THAT good. Then I watched it, specs come up, not super huge power number, whatever... So he launches, takes off, whoop-de-do, a fast car but I've seen faster... not impressed...

Then he threw it sideways.

I don't think I took a breath until that vid was over, after that. Blew my fucking mind.

(But I thought the second one was a bit too contrived...)

Siriusly.Andrew 07-26-2010 04:42 AM

yeah the first one was much better in my humble opinion. I just really love the launch. I've never driven anything over 265hp, and it was a FWD Civic so that looked pretty fast to me lol. Yeah I've seen faster but it was still really awesome, and the sound of that engine gave me chills. I loved it.
