Unless we're in Britishland, in which case 2200 lbs is a tonne.

Evasive, are these actual "race car only" items where you need a full cage to guarantee occupant safety, or is it "off road only" like aftermarket headers are?

Yes these don't have a side impact bar like the OEM ones. Which the custom roll cage makes up for it. :)

That front flair with the vent is MEAN. Great stuff!

Rocket.BRZ 06-06-2014 02:19 PM

when can I buy them?

Nevermore 06-06-2014 02:39 PM

What are we missing for a "full carbon" FR-S now? You can get a hood, front fenders, a roof, and a trunk. Now doors. So, just the front and rear bumpers and rear fenders?

Either way, I wish those pictures would load on my work computer. I want to see what they look like.

Mirrors are added now to make the race handle.

Wow 80 lbs?? Where does all that weight come from? Damn. I'm assuming the CF doors are just an empty shell or panel right? That will make a big difference!

Michael 06-06-2014 08:54 PM

Talk about weight reduction...nice!

Metal door shell and skin 2 pieces of glass, the electic window regulator/tracks, door panel, wiring, lock cylinder, bid ass stock mirrors... ect.

@Anthony this one might just give you a heart attack.

Scaldy 06-06-2014 10:32 PM

I love to see this kind of innovative work. Nice job!

Njjawn 06-07-2014 12:58 AM

And I'm guessing you'd need to run a lexan window or no window? Because once you start putting the window components back in you just gained back most of your weight.

Oh, and I'd like to go ahead and cast my vote for the making permanent of the painter's tape and never installing handles.

For what it's worth...

Picked up a 48"x36" lexan piece, split it lenghtwise and cut out the windows with a jigsaw. Took 5 minutes.

We are using a lexan window and a mechanical door lock. This door is only for race use only and we are still shaving a lot of weight even if we are using lexan.
