Is there a DIY/FAQ on re-dying the interior stitching?

Is there a DIY/FAQ on re-dying the interior stitching WITHOUT ruining the factory leather/alcantara?
(Yes, I realize the pic is a Series.Blue, wanting the same effect without the 1/2 blue seats/steering wheel)

Thanks!

if you dye it, whatever the dye is going to "mark" whatever it touches.

a local memember took all her thread out, got a curved needle, and re-stitched it using the existing holes. it was time consuming but effective.

Wow, that's hardcore. :)
I don't think I'd have the patience for that.

There are several threads out there where others have done this with their interior threads, but they're starting with white thread.
I'm not worried about marking the leather, but I would be concerned about marking the alcantara, and finding a way to "bleach" our existing threads first without hurting the leather/alcantara.

Would you mind answering a few more questions? How much did it all cost you? Where did you get the leather kit from? Where did you get it installed? I'm trying to find a reputable product and installer in my area but I don't really know where to look.

All in all about 4k. Leather kit came from @canadaseatskins. A buddy of mine installed them. The white stitching was done at sales@jpmcoachworks I'm sure they can do seats as well.

Was considering something similar myself.

Just an FYI white seats are impossible to keep clean. Any material rubs off on them. So be prepared to clean then weekly.

Aside from the cost, this is the main thing keeping me from pulling the trigger on this purchase. I have white leather couches at home, and there's a lot of cleaning involved.
