Summers coming seats too hot

For you folks who have had the brz limited or monogram frs how do u guys deal with the warmer weather the seats give little to no ventilation and I don't want my seats to smell like back sweat

Considering getting bamboo seat covers as last resort :bonk:

Get tint. It helps a lot. I've never thought my brz seats were hot. Just the steering wheel is hot in the summer for mine.

Also, a sunshade.

DC2R 06-02-2014 01:07 AM

All Windows tinted. What Sun shade you get?

I got the Subaru sunshade. There are definitely cheaper ones out there, but fitment is perfect and it stows easily.

Maybe look at getting the windshield done with 80-90% tint. I'm going to do mine with Llumar air 80, but I need to get the glass replaced first.

I um......turn my air conditioner on!

Llumar air 80 in the front, Llumar 30% all around. Never gets "too" hot for me and I'm in socal.

not worried bout the steering wheel being hot i only drive with two fingers most of the time,
i was planning on tints after my spring semester, i don't think tinting the front windshield is legal here any %,
got sunshades today at walmart turns out they were too big so i gave em to my dad for his camry,

AC cools my front not my my back, legs, and bottom :(

Actually, aftermarket tint on windshield and front driver's side and front passenger's side windows is illegal in California.

I have a tinted front windshield and tinted 2 front doors. Tinted or not, the car is still hot if you park it outside. If you have a sunshade (as do I), it reduces the heat on the interior of the car.. more than a tinted windshield.

If it's hot enough to make your back sweat.. you need the AC on.

I have 3M Crystalline... it's currently the world's most advanced film. More advanced than Air 80, hyper optik, and formula 1. I can say that when the sun is hitting me directly... it doesn't burn... but there is still heat being stored in the car.

Yes, tint on the two front doors and front windshield is illegal. If you really want it, I advise a light tint (lighter than 40%). Windows are tinted from factory... adding more tint on that will make it darker.

Yup, 3M 20% on regular Windows and Suntek 80% on windshield. Unbearable when parked in Sun. Also asphalt color doesn't help. Any recommendations for sunshade besides Subaru one?

These leather seats on brz smell like butt after a few summers in phx

Got it professionally shampooed, much better

DC2R 06-02-2014 01:42 PM

....Also thinking about getting the Sard seat covers but concerned about heat. Anyone got them?
