I did for one day, through a temp agency, years ago. It was an experiment that was "no thanks" by lunch, but I finished the day. :bonk:

Matt and Steve over at Guelph Toyota are great. They're going to have repeat business from me, that's for sure.

naking 08-03-2012 05:53 PM

Just picked up my AT Ultramarine FR-S w/BeSpoke Audio upgrade Wednesday night!
Absolutely love it!

Picked it up from Heffner Toyota in Kitchener....Nick Heffner was amazing to deal with! Definitely recommend!!

If anyone is interested, I ordered the car on June 25th, arrived August 1....about a 5 week wait...not too bad compared other people.

ScottishJedi 08-03-2012 06:28 PM

My order allocation went in last night!! Hoping there's a Raven MT available but chances are I'll have to wait for the factory which means I'll be driving it after labour day.
But keeping positive thoughts there's one built ready for me!

Keep your chin up! I only waited 14 days for mine to show up at Heffner in Kitchener. Asphalt M/T, base audio. There is hope!

I'll be 5 weeks next Saturday. I ordered from them too and I've not had a great customer service experience with them. Despite a few voicemails asking for updates, they finally called me a couple days ago (27 days after ordering the car), and all the guy said was, "You're at the top of the list, so the next car will be yours, but we don't know where it is. It might be in Vancouver or it could be on rails."

I was lucky, mine was sitting in Toronto....I believe it was because of the colour and transmission choice. Not many people getting Ultramarine and AT. Maybe you'll be lucky too.

Sucks to hear about such a poor experience, but you'll forget all about it once you're driving the new ride!!

Good Luck!!

So it took 5 weeks to go from Toronto to Kitchener? Damn. This process is painfully slow.

I went with Firestorm and MT.

djdnz 08-08-2012 03:28 PM

Mine finally showed up, WRB BRZ. Picking it up tonight :)

sal 08-08-2012 05:17 PM

Nice! Should be exciting. Wrb brz look stunning!

engsr 08-08-2012 05:42 PM

Nice, congrats. Haven't seen a WRB up close yet.

Aznek 08-09-2012 01:15 AM

If anyone in the area needs a Whiteout or SWP paint pen they can borrow mine. I think I've used about 1% of mine.

mountainside 08-09-2012 09:55 AM

Anybody up for a meet on Sunday? We could do noon at the Aud's back lot (close to the Highland Fusiliers)?

sal 08-09-2012 12:59 PM

I'm down! It'll have to be later during the day though. Driving back from the cottage!

No, it took about 4 weeks before the dealership could order it....I don't understand it too well, but they have a certain amount that they can order at one time (allocation). Once they ordered mine, they found out that there was a free one sitting in Toronto....so it took a week to get to KW!

Ah. Yeah, they need to wait for allocations. I guess I was at the top of the list once you picked up yours, so they just needed to get the closest one.

I wonder how long it takes to get a car from Vancouver to Kitchener. Or if it's on a train already. :mad0259:

djdnz 08-09-2012 06:09 PM

I might be able to drop by on Sunday, not 100% though.

Slartibartfast 08-09-2012 06:45 PM

I'm game. ummmm... Where's the Aud? I don't know Waterloo that well. Assuming that is Waterloo.

Kitchener.

From the 401, take the highway 8 exit, then the ramp for 85 north to Waterloo. First exit is Ottawa, get off there and turn left at the light. The Aud is on the right. Go in there behind the building, there are parking lots back there. We'll be in the left parking lot.

From Waterloo, just get on 85 and exit at Ottawa, exit right and turn right again before the first stoplight into the Aud.

Or just use Google Maps and get directions to the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium.

FBaxteR-S 08-09-2012 08:24 PM

I have yet to get my Whiteout but I would love to come to the Aud on Sunday just to meet you guys and chat.

sal 08-10-2012 12:22 AM

5pm sounds good!

ScottishJedi 08-10-2012 09:47 AM

Damn going to be in Montreal all weekend for some heavy metal shinanigans, on the up side I'm hearing rumblings of possible delivery next week!

Did you go through Guelph Toyota? I spoke with them a few weeks ago and the guy said he'd had 14 orders placed for them but not one person had taken delivery yet.

And apparently Guelph Toyota was the #2 volume dealer for Scions in Canada - more than Heffner which claimed to be the #2 total volume dealer in the country. I don't really understand how the allocations work but it sounded like Guelph Toyota was getting a raw deal.

Got mine from Guelph Toyota - Matt and Steve there were awesome but it definitely sounded like Scion corporate were being huge pain in ass. No answers and basically a lot of frustration all around.

The Whiteout Manual is our demo. The Firestorm Automatic is sold (to a forum member). It was available for a little over 15 hours before it sold. The others that we have had come in, without a name on them, have only lasted an hour or two.

Sh4rp 08-11-2012 07:21 PM

I came in before, you told me you wouldnt discount new grad, so i bought my firestorm from DT toyota...

FBaxteR-S 08-12-2012 08:06 PM

Couldn't make it out to the Aud today, had to go and see my father, hope it was a good turnout though.

Saw a Raven FR-S heading down Westmount at Block Line at 4:30pm today.

thorlius 08-12-2012 08:11 PM

Two FR-S (Asphalt and Raven), a BRZ (WRB), a C6 (to eventually become my Firestorm FR-S), and a cop at the far end of the other parking lot who didn't bother us (but surely would have if we'd used the empty parking lot to its potential).

Still, good fun, and it was nice to meet those who came out.

mountainside 08-12-2012 08:59 PM

Good fun and great convo - after the cop left we did some doughnuts and a most excellent burnout - thanks to Steve for the 5k tip! Definitely want to do another meet up sometime.

Slartibartfast 08-13-2012 12:51 AM

These tires must die!

:burnrubber:

Get to see everyone. We'll have to do something again after a few more people get their cars. A tour sounds good.
