repairing this frs....

used to own a blue 2k13, sold it because i was in the process of paying off my student loans. Back in the market for a used one and this popped up. Yes it's beat up, but it's cheap, car fax is clean, and looks like only bodywork.

Anyone know a rough estimate of how much all those panels would be?

thanks

I don't see what is so custom about the interior but then again it was hard to see with that picture. I'm not sure how much all the panels would cost but the front bumper will run you around $700-750 if you buy a new one and get it painted and installed. I think I would stay away from it just because it's white. It's going to be hard to get all those panels to match the rest of the car... You'd probably be better off getting the panels and re-painting the entire car if you get it. But that's just my opinion. Good luck with your decision either way!

I wouldn't buy anything from someone that spells that poorly in an ad. Makes me think how stupid they probably were with the car.

oh i forgot to mention cash in hand price is $13500 (but i could probably get it for $13) so lots of wiggle room there

You got time and money, why not? It would be nice to see her perfect again. With all the body work and such, you won't be looking at much of a savings (probably a couple grand), but hey, $2k-$3k is $2k-$3k. Might be time for a custom color!:thumbsup:

Edit: and KBB on something in "Good" condition is $18k. With that mileage, not $21k

I doubt the owner took care of it...

Its an Automatic...which is a negative to me...maybe not to you...

If you have connections with an auto body shop and can get it fixed for favors...then maybe it would be worth doing...

Otherwise...I would steer clear...

Save a little bit and buy one that wasn't attacked by an idiot with a baseball bat or a bad driver...

It looks pretty beat on to me...

I would not even consider purchasing this car. Too new to be beat up the way it is. And I see rust in one of the pictures. Also, I don't know if you noticed but the passenger rear wheel is missing 2 lug nuts. And I DO NOT see any studs. What the hell has this car been through?!?! Makes me wonder what other carelessness and atrocities that the owners put this car through. That 13,000 could turn out to be be 18,000 in the long run. Heck, maybe even more. Not only that, you'll have to live with the fact that it was beat up, and you had to spend money to get it fixed. Never really knowing what could go wrong, or what's actually wrong with it mechanically. The bodyshop paint will never be as good as factory paint. The dents will only be less visible and not completely gone. It has Megan Racing crap on it. And it is an automatic. That kind of stuff will slowly chip away at me, no matter how much I tell myself that I got a good deal.

Remember, the poor man pays twice. Look for something worth buying.

it's worth 21K because it's a "frs 10 serious". I bet you this guy floored it from light to light. Looks wayyyyyyy too beat up. could have transmission issues. Definitely driven like it was stolen.

BlueThunder 06-02-2014 06:14 AM

I think a lot of those dents could be fixed by a paintless dent removed specialist. Just find a really good one in your area

Buy mine instead....

2013 firestrom with 6300 miles for 22k. Not one thing wrong with it.
