Will touch up paint do the trick? or is there a better method to fixing this?

Go to a local body shop or get a recommendation on a good one. That needs to be fade blended and good painters will know how to do this. Get a few estimates and actually to ask to see a blended panel. Typically body shops are always blending panels. Touch up paint will not work since it needs a flex additive added to the paint. Otherwise it will just crack off in months

3 options really
- touch up paint yourself (cheapest)
- get a reputable shop to use touch up paint for you (pretty cheap)
- get the shop to do a full paint correction (not cheap)

you get what you pay for.

How will that do anything to the damage?

The minute you spend any money fixing something so small you'll just scratch it again on something else. Just touch it up and try and not think about it.

Touch it up yourself then get a lip to cover it to prevent additional damage.

Buy a cheap knock off lip to cover it

Depends on how much it bothers you. If you are looking to completely eliminate the scuff. You are looking at ~$500 for a repaint of the front bumper. I would see if a blend is possible. Then move on.

I say do it right instead of it looking awful with touch up. Yes it will cost more but just be more careful.

If you don't have a clear bra on the car, just drive it until it needs to be repainted from rock chips. I have something similar, plus license plate holes. I figure I'll just repaint it and fill those holes in a couple years when it actually needs it. Small stuff like that is inconvienient, but I actually forgot all about mine until I just saw your pic, lol :thumbup:

You can order paint by color code with the flex additive added to it. I can't remember where I ordered it before, but I ordered an aerosol can matched by paint code with the flex additive before. I did an entire bumper for my e36 that way. After clear coat it looked great.

I would get a front lip. Scuffs on the front bumper is bound to happen again. It's inevitable like rock chips.

Think of it as a battle scar :)
