Who is getting a First86 dash plaque?
 

Since we have received (or hopefully will receive) a license plate frame with a ? of 86 designation who is getting a dash plaque made for their dash?

If you are what will it say? Will you add your VIN number to it? What will the size be and where will you install it?

Does anyone on the forum own a trophy shop that could design one and let us First86 buyers make a group purchase so they would all be the same?

If I remember correctly did Jack say that they would be working on some type of badge and that it would be later on after we have received our cars that we would get it?

I remember that Toyota corporate was taking notes wen we were asking these questions.

Since there has been zero communication to the 1st86 since Long Beach, I'm putting my money on we've got what we are going to get. Honestly, for me anyway, I've got what I expected out of the contest, an early delivery date. If we get anything else, it would be great but I'm not waiting by my mailbox.

It would be nice to have some type of closure though, even if was just a note saying, "Hope you're enjoying your cars guys, this concludes the 1st86 program, see you in the twisties! Jack".

I can make dash plaques if you guys want them. They would be waterjetted (cheaper) or CNC machined (more expensive) and I would probably use stainless and brush them. Anyone interested?

I would like to get one. I am still waiting on a carbon fiber license plate frame and pen set to see what number of the 86 I was assigned.

I really like that idea. If the idea were to go forward to make a plaque for our First 86 cars, we would go by the number that we got with our carbon fiber license plates??

Those stripes again! Everytime I see those black stripes I feel my wallet jumping towards the screen! I don't know why, I think it must be the muscle car lover in me.

Thank goodness they don't have a 70's style Trans Am tacky chicken for it, I'd probably just pass out with excitement.

I thought the flat spot between the seats would be a good location as well.

just replace that GT86 with FR-S in the typeface of the trunk badge, then use the corp scion font face for the persons name or whatever and the serialized number -- and maybe include the 86 badge logo in there somewhere. Perfecto as the italians would say. D:!

I like the photo with the plaque in the small recess below the shifter. How much would they cost, I wouldn't want something that looks tacky but I would be interested. Can you have the number that is on the license plate frame put on them

Im debating calling up Toyota of Italy and being all like "Hey guy, in America we dont have these cool serialized plate, but we totally want them, how much?!"
