Warning: do not sit on top of trunk lid

Had a cold Jolt cola a little while ago and decided to sit on the rear deck lid to polish it off. Noticed yesterday, there is a minor indentation of both my butt-cheeks! I'm only 150 pounds, so just giving you guys a heads up on this. :(

Oh this is gonna be awesome

Tromatic 05-30-2014 06:59 PM

Holy crap. I NEVER would have considered sitting on ANY part of this car. Or any car, for that matter.

Guys, just a general warning: do not kick the hood of your car, no matter how many crickets are trapped inside.

Cars are not truck beds, they are not meant to be sat upon...

I don't lean nor sit on any of the body panels on this car. The sheet metal on this car is paper thin and prone to dents. More so than any other car that I've owned. But I guess it saves weight.

My '88 celica was built like a fucking tank and I still wouldn't sit on the trunk.

Why would you do something like this? C'mon now.

This goes for pretty much most mainstream cars. Leaning on a door panel, stepping on the hood, will leave dents in most cars. Just today we repaired a Jeep Wrangler because someone was walking on the hood, and this is not the sort of vehicle you expect a flimsy hood.

If I am not mistaken, I remember seing a review stating the trunk is Aluminum. Not made for sitting. On another note they still make Jolt Cola? Have not had one since the mid 90's.

Turbo95eg6 05-30-2014 07:17 PM

I don't believe it… they still still have Jolt Cola? OP trollin'.
