And no hassle if something gets messed up? Most people dont have/live near a dealership like yours(it sounds darn good-which is how they ALL should be). How many threads on here have we seen where the customer requests no car wash, but instead gets washed and comes back covered in scratches? Usually the dealer responds with *shrugged shoulders.
For me, anyway its not worth the potential headache that the dealership is gonna cause.
But thats just my opinion! Sounds like you have a reputable, quality dealership, though.

You think that employee represents toyota?? You think he can speak on behalf of Toyota also? Do you think toyota is paying out of pocket for the repairs or the dealership?
As for the rest of what you bold of my comment.. Yes do your own work, all your services.. Keep, receipts don't keep receipts, the. Have a engine failure... Bring it in and see how easy it is for a replacement.. No doubt they will eventually replace it, but me bringing it in for all the services and maintenance records and all.. Guess who gets handled easier..
As a ASE tech it's easy to do my own work, but under warranty I take my car to the dealership.. Have I had bad experiences.. Yup d!ck Poe Toyota in El Paso sucks balls.. But it's recorded and Toyota knows about it..
When I worked at a dealership for ford, centroplex ford in Killeen tx, my pay check didn't say FordMoCo.. It said centroplex on them.. Signed by dan green, not mr ford lol.. Saying Toyota fucked the car up just isn't exactly correct.. He should've said the dealership did.. Just as d!ck Poe did a shitty service by using a STP filter from autozone, that wasn't toyota..
I also ask about techs, find out who are enthusiast and such and talk with them.. Befriend them I guess, same with Suzuki for my GSXR, I made sure I found a dealership that hired racers and others that care before I took my bike in..
But I don't blame people one bit for not wanting to take their cars into the dealership.. I wouldn't take mine in for the gaskets, or the crickets until I know for sure they fixed the problem.. We have a guy that's replaced it 6 times.. Still has them.. That's 6 repairs that to me are unnessacery.. Could've ended like the guys that burned down after a HPFP replacement..
So I understand where your coming from except the Toyota blame..
