That MR2 was actually one of the biggest PITA cars I have ever owned! Haha. I bought it for $150 at the IAAI auction in Seattle. They wouldn't let me drive it off of the lot, even though I had a trip permit and insurance, so I had to rent a U-Haul and trailer... only U-Haul wouldn't rent me a truck AND trailer for a local move (because of theft problems) so I had to rent the trailer down the street at a different rental place. I FINALLY got them to load the MR2 on the trailer at 5pm on a Friday, then I pulled out of the parking lot, unloaded the MR2 and returned the rentals.
THEN it turned out that the transmission was stuck in 3rd gear! I had to drive in rush-hour stop and go Seattle traffic on 3rd gear, then when the freeway opened up I redlined that sucker all the way back to Portland.
Swapped in a used tranny, drove the car a bit and sold it on eBay to a woman in Eugene who asked me to deliver it. About ten miles shy of Eugene the head gasket blew and I had to flatbed the car back to Portland. ($$$!!!) I resold the car for MORE MONEY on eBay to a guy who needed it for autocross duty, and I managed to break even on my investment (if you don't count time). Whew.

Typical MR2 ownership story, lol. I bought mine from a sketchy dealer for $700, it was leaking brake fluid, coolant and oil the whole way home. The brakes were shot, the engine sounded like crap (turned out to be a leaking EGR bolt on the exhaust manifold) and it had no interior carpet. And lots of rust. $15,000 and four years later, it's a decent car.
