track day car hire in USA?
Just making it short... I'm from Qatar, and I plan to have a 2 week holiday to USA in oct, 2012 me and my wife.
I have planed almost everything, but I've been thinking of doing a track day with my wife setting next to me :) I've been Googling for 2 hours now, and nothing??? Our holiday plan is like this: Home>New York>Chicago>seattle>Home any chance for doing automotive activity during our holiday? oh, and would that require an international driving license? or my current one is fine? :bonk: |
You may want to check your dates against activities/clubs at Lime Rock in CT. It would be a ~2hr drive from NY but it would certainly entertain you.

Most track day events will not let you bring a passenger. If you are willing to spend the money ($1,595 a day), maybe you can try the High-Performance Driving Experience at Monticello. Maybe they will let you bring your wife as a passenger since its their track. Monticello is one of the most beautiful track in the country. They have a fleet of Cadillac CTS-Vs. Make sure you get one with manual transmission though. The slush box in the CTS-V is terrible and will take away a lot of the enjoyment. The manual on the other hand is awesome. Engine has so much torque you hardly need to shift.

If you're going to be in Seattle in October you can do a 1 day high performance driving clinic with Proformance Racing School, at Pacific International Raceways (PIR) in Kent, 30 miles south of downtown Seattle. They've got Elises to hire :)
