Pre-orders 2012, exchange/cancellation
 

Hey guys,
I was looking at a few recent threads, and some people seem to be either displeased with their pre-order choice (color/trim/tranny) or want to cancel their pre-order all together.

Unfortunetaly dealerships decline any changes to the pre-order since most of the vehicles are already in the production.

So I was thinking of making a thread where people could exchange their pre-orded vehicles or maybe tell others about their cancelations.

For example:
- You list your state
- Your dealership
- Vehicle you pre-ordered (i.e. WRB/manual/limited)
- Vehicle you want (i.e. SWP/automatic/premium)

So this way if someone wants to swap with you, you could cordinate it in this thread.

Also if you decided to cancel your pre-order, you could also list it here, so that other members of ft86club :happy0180:could get an opportunity to get your vehicle, as opposed to some random person.

I know some people posted similar info in the "List of Dealership Allocations" Sticky but I thought it would be easier to have separate thread, just for this purposes.

I guess I'll start. Depending on when the cars come in, I might back out, so I'll post this for ppl who might be interested in picking one up in case that happens.

I will most likely cancel my FR-S pre-order since I finally have a VIN and ETA for my BRZ. If anyone wants to take the FR-S I pre-ordered then you more than welcome to.

I'm not sure if you want people who are definitely getting out of their pre-orders or ones who may as well after the test drive, but I am only going to get the BRZ if it's a dream to drive, so there is a good chance it won't live up to my dreams.

Local member who might be interested in your car :drool:, can always send you a private message, to check on availability.

Having a few people/options on a "radar" so to speak, might benefit some folks who desperately want to get this car.:burnrubber:

I won't know for sure until the test drive, either. It amazes me that so many are so sure of their trim choice, color choice, and transmission choice before ever laying eyes on one (at least I haven't)! I'm pretty sure I want one, and I've arranged for one to be here in June, but, if I'm putting $30 grand out, I want to be sure. I certainly don't want any regrets.

How many of you have dealers who will actually transfer the order and not just pass it on to the next person waiting in line?

Yeah, Sierra Monrovia wouldn't do this.
