And he's taking a really, REALLY conservative line.

Very... Gran Turismo 6 doesn't convey that (but it does simulate it).
@ImperiousRex's BRZ for reference:

The cornering speeds are meh, but that's expected for a FULL PRODUCTION CAR. It's on Pilot Sport CUP 2, and I would imagine in some pretty fat sizes, but... omg 166mph in the front straight?

RehabJeff86 05-28-2014 05:18 PM

Yes my eyes just popped wide opened seeing 166 mph

On the other hand, can you imagine being handed one of the first production models of a $900K supercar and be told to take it around a track? I'd be cautious in the corners too.

CSG Mike 05-28-2014 05:29 PM

Keep in mind the car is what, 3600+ lbs? Jeebus.

... Really? Wow. The CGT was only 3050 lbs. I recognize the benefit of an electric motor in a supercar, but that's a lot of extra weight to tote around. I guess I'll have to get a CGT instead. :lol:

Yeah, but the 918 won't kill you by forcing you to crash and bursting into flames (yes, sarcasm... can't believe that idiotic lawsuit).

Especially since the car did exactly what it was supposed to. All the mid-engine supercars are designed to break the engine away from the passenger compartment in the event of a major accident. It's a safety thing. Catching on fire was unfortunate, but a lot of cars have caught on fire; that's not a condition endemic to Porsches.

On the other hand, she's in pain, she doesn't want to admit that her husband fucked up that bad, and she just lost the primary income for her family. She's looking to push the blame for the accident off of her husband and guarantee some sort of income for herself.

Which is wrong, but I understand her motivations.

Every clip I hear of that car it sounds like an S2000 motor on steroids.
