Not even sure this can be done, but it seems like I saw it was possible.

Just curious if anyone in the Atlanta/ North Georgia area has an OFT that would flash my car with the 93 octane/drop in filter/ catback exhaust tune?
I'd definitely be willing to pay. I really wanna know what the difference is.
I've read thru several pages on the OFT thread and alot of the jargon starts to lose me.
But it seems that everyone raves about how great the car feels after just a base map flash.
HMU. Or reply here. I'm sure I'm not the only one that wants this done.
Someone could stand to make a damn fine "rental" fee from their OFT ownership.

It doesn't really work like that. The OFT itself is married to the ECU that it's initially flashed to, and can't be used on anyone else's ECU until it's unmarried. The owner would need to reflash his ECU back to OEM, and reformat the OFT through the OpenFlash Manager on his computer. Then your ECU would be flashed and the OFT would be married to your car. You'd have to go through the whole process of flashing yours back to OEM and reformatting the OFT for the owner to reflash his own car.

Ugh. Big headache. Oh well. It was worth a try.
I wonder if anyone would sell theirs for a reasonable price? I looked all thru the classifieds and didn't see one.

I've seen them around for $450 or so. I went ahead and bought mine from @shiv@vishnu for the going rate ($550) because I appreciate the work they've done to make it happen and wanted to support their company. Also, because you can get shiv-bucks to apply to other OpenFlash products like their header or Crawford's BPBs.

If I had the money right now I'd just buy one. I was dead set on turbo'ing mine until I drove thru The Dragons Tail a couple weekends ago. Now I feel like the power is nearly perfect. 30-40 more HP to the ground and some grippier tires and I feel like this thing would be plenty. The OFT seems to do a great job removing the torque dip and showing the engines true potential. I'd love the headers too.
If I were to buy one it would be from @shiv@vishnu. Seen nothing but positive about that guy and his company.

I don't know that you'll get 30-40 more hp without going FI, or at least to E-85. The OFT/OFH combo with an overpipe will make a significant bump though. The OFT supports E-85, but it's a reflash. If you were looking at going on it and off of it constantly, you might consider a flex-fuel kit instead. That would require dyno time and a tuner though.

I'm on OFT Stage 1 right now, and the torque dip is just about gone. It just pulls cleanly to redline now. My next big purchase will be header, overpipe, and springs. Still on the stock tires because they get good mileage and they're fun to drive hard.
