When it's not practical by design, just force it

None of those are that surprising to me except the Ferrari pulling the camper thingy. That has got to be really bad for the clutch.

What I don't understand is this:
If you're wealthy enough to afford those cars, then can't you just pay the shipping costs for the large items? Almost ALL places that sell mattresses and big TVs also offer delivery services, usually in the 2-figure cost range. So just pay the damn service charge. I hope none of the reasons are related to penny-pinching, because that would just be illogical. |

Very expensive car.
Use it to carry my things. That is how I am. Very likely it is old people that don't really care. I once helped a retired lady load some stuff into a brand new Cadillac Crossover. She complained to me that her shiny car was too tiny. I was thinking to myself that it's basically a $40k grocery getter :| |
The GT3 makes sense, that's a tire trailer for the track and his pit bike.
The rest are retarded. Most of these people must have wives that drive SUVs, I don't get it. |
I don't really see the problem. People are using their cars to get stuff around. The difference is that they have way more money so they can do more everyday stuff in way more expensive cars. If these were any other sub-30k vehicles this post wouldn't exist, but for some reason everyone thinks that expensive cars and exotics are meant to be put in showrooms and drive on tracks only, and worshipped in their stationary position.

So much respect all over. I saw a NSX hauling some long 2x4's when I was out biking on the weekend. 4-5 feet of the beams were coming out the passenger window. The guy drives his NSX in winter (here...that is a big deal) I respect him so much for what he does.

I am planning on getting a rack for my skis this winter. Anyone's jimmies rustled?

If I only had a hammer and I needed to drive a screw, you'd still respect me for just smashing the screw into place? :iono:
Home Depot will let you rent their van for dirt cheap. Right tool for the right job. |
I use my fun cars for work.
If I didn't they would sit at home all day long. |
There is a reason these things are called cars and have these compartments called trunks. The only difference is the car is more expensive than your average go getter.
Respect to the owners who use them like a normal vehicles rather then keeping it chained in a glass room like Hannibal Lector for bragging rights and ego boosting |
I don't understand the remarks here.
I wouldn't use my R8/Gallardo/360 for most of the things here like I wouldn't use my FRS/Miata/Corolla for the same thing. They make these things called trucks to handle things like this. For starters, a few of these are actually dangerous to the people behind them and not to mention you could probably get free shipping on some of these things. The GT3 with the tire trailer though? That's great. Hell, I'm even OK with the Lambo with the bike mounted on it. Don't need a truck if it's properly mounted. |
The Ferrari hauling boards and the Porsche with mattress are Darwin award candidates and a hazard to all around them.
