Just sent an e-mail to Lamin-X

Asking them if/when they would be offering pre-cut headlight and taillight protective films. I know many of us have complained that the Euro/Altezza-style taillights don't look as appealing as the concept cars' red taillights, and I think a red overlay for the stock tails would be a real winner!

I'd also like to have a protective film for my headlights as I do a lot of miles/yr and plan to keep the car for a long time, so anything I can do to preserve the front lighting is very welcome. I offered to lend my lights to them for R&D so long as the turn-around time isn't too long. So, hopefully we'll see some products from them soon!

There is a guy named Blue Batmobile who has been on all the big car forums for years. He will probably come out overlays for the FRS/BRZ, so you might want to contact him as well.

Yeah, he's been pretty good with that stuff.

I'd be interested in all red with the exception of the turn signals. As much as I dislike the altezza style, I hate red turn signals even more.

smoked overlays would do the taillights wonders IMO

They sent a quick reply!

"Dear Corey,

Good morning and thank you for your email. Yes we are planning to have the pre-cut kits for the 2013 Subaru BRZ and the Scion FR-S. We have to have the lights on the vehicle when we do the templates to see how they fit. Our template guy goes out to dealerships to make the templates. We do not have a time frame because the dealer has to have one available on the lot for us to do a template. If you live in a driving distance to us your more than welcome to come here for us to do a template and in return give you a free set of Lamin-x head and taillights. From the photos we have found the taillight does not look promising due to the curve. If you have anymore questions please let us know.

Thank you,

Order Team

Tail lights not promising... Feels bad man.

Tell them they can come up with a template that just covers the sides, like the TRD cover.

Ive already been in contact with him. Hes interested in the tail lights, but unsure about the sharp angles.

^^ tell him not to worry about it. Id rather just have a red-out film for the flat front lens and then I will be blacking out the sides/tops of the lenses anyways.
