Grimmspeed License Plate Relocation kit - get it to stay?

Hey dudes, what have you done to get your Grimmspeed License Plate kit to not rotate after a few miles of driving? The main bolt just wouldn't "tighten" into my car, it just kept spinning, so I have to readjust the license plate whenever getting out of the vehicle. Haha. What did you do?

Locktite? Mine seems solid so far

I was having the same problem for a while, but it was the bolt that connected that Ushape to the tow bolt (the one that goes into the car) that was actually loose, not the tow bolt to the car. its such a hassle because the pieces are sequential, but try tightening that. You can probably do it through the grate of the plate holder instead of removing all of that.

Electrical tape on the corner of the license plate so that it makes contact with the front bumper. That holds it in place and keeps my mind from being scared of highway speeds pushing the plate against the bumper.

I remember tightening mine for what seemed like way too long but I think it did end up hitting resistance. stayed strong since.

What do you mean it won't tighten? There are only so many threads there, once you reach the end it has to tighten.

Mine has not budged since day one.

I was also surprised how long I had to tighten before it stopped but it finally did. Plate hasn't moved an inch.

A little blue thread lock and get someone to hold the plate while you tighten it.

I've added loctite to mine. But I don't have a grimspeed one.

Did you torque it? I followed grimmspeed's DIY and have no issues.

Yes, I recently put mine on as well. I thought the threads might have been stripped because I kept turning and turning and turning but it never felt like it was getting tighter...But I kept going and eventually it did get tight.

I've put a couple hundred miles of NJ pothole and freeway driving since putting mine on and haven't had any problems.

This bolt is what is loose when mine needs tightened.
