It wouldn't survive.

The front hood wouldn't fare well either. Best to park in a garage during spring storm season.

Yeah, let me just conjure one of those up out of thin air real quick... Oh, apartments don't always even offer garages? Or even covered parking? Oh.

Not to be condescending or anything but not really a solution there, chief.

^ I'm in the same boat. Last hail storm I drove my car to work and parked in one of our warehouses. Spent the night sleeping in the car until the storm went away.

Could you cover the car in flannel comforters or something?

Or on any part of our cars......:(

There are several "hail protection" car covers on the market, but this one brought to mind that a simple double wide, camping type, air mattress might do in a pinch.

I'm not sure what a "hail strom" is, but it sounds really, really bad to have one fall on any car! :eyebulge:
I'm glad we don't have hail stroms falling on cars around here. I'd be terrified.

Put a flannel conforter over your face and have Mike Tyson punch you. Let's see if that does anything.

Imagine buckets of giant ice cubes falling from the sky.

I do believe someone here had every panel replaced on their car after a hail storm.

He was just making fun of the spelling mistake, not questioning the definition of a hail storm. The devil's in the details...

Sarlacc 05-24-2014 06:27 PM

Yeah, well, sorry about that. I don't want to seem mean.
Those images on Google from that link really does look terrifying, and I really am glad that doesn't happen around here.
We don't get buckets falling from the sky, either.

ninedice 05-24-2014 06:45 PM

Ah, I guess my brain auto-corrected that for me. >.<

Also, speaking of buckets falling from the sky:
