What do you do in your FRS/BRZ that you never did in your previous cars?

Just wondering if anyone has picked up any new habits since they got their twin. Whether it be driving style, car care or various other things.

So far for me I've gotten into the habit of actually letting the car warm up a little bit which I've never really done before.

Drift whenever it is possible and safe to do so.

Modify it with aftermarket parts.

kurbkilla 05-22-2014 12:18 PM

Go to track days.

codesplice 05-22-2014 12:19 PM

Autocross.

BRZZZZZZZZZZ 05-22-2014 06:18 PM

Vacuum the interior once a week if I drive it.

Shift, all of my other cars were automatic.
The dead pedal thing transferred to when I drive automatics. I sit a lot closer than I ever did in previous cars. I drive with two hands unless I am shifting. Another thing is not listen to the radio. I like hearing the car over mainstream music. I back into my drive way because it's the only way to get in and out of my drive way since I lowered it.

As far as car care and all of that, I've done that every weekend with my other vehicles as well.

One thing I don't do in the BRZ that I have in other cars...

Get *ahem* intimate in the back seat.

Bluetooth calls. Because none of my previous cars had it.

Use no-name 93 octane. Because previous car was an STI with eggshells for ringlands.

Power oversteer. Because see previous car above.

Oh boy...where to start... With this car it:
1. Has had a space in the garage cleaned out for it to reside in.
2. Is washed. Often
3. Know those California Magic Dusters? So do I now!!!
4. Spray detailer for between washes.
5. THIS car has been vacuumed!!!
6. Not only is the tank generally full...but its of course full of premium
7. There is a swiffer duster in the glove box for the dash.

I think I'm showing early stages of OCD Syndrome ;)

Wash and wax it even though I know it's going to rain in about 30 minutes. My BRZ is my baby :D

ramiram1984 05-22-2014 09:22 PM

Put my 2 dogs inside it.

vividracing 05-22-2014 09:24 PM

Not carry passengers.

CSG Mike 05-22-2014 09:27 PM

Try drifting.

swpbrz 05-22-2014 10:17 PM

Pull on the locked door handle from the inside without it opening :\

Also still drive around even neighborhoods or city streets for fun and I'm 6 months in. Not even spirited. Just rowing through gears or practicing the perfect heel toe downshift.

I have stopped glancing at my gauges every thirty seconds.

My wife used to call this behavior "Fiat PTSD" and was thoroughly annoyed by it.

Clean or get rid of every single piece of dust that settles on the car in garage before i drive it lol.

Have to plug a stupid sound tube inside my cabin lol.

Actually looking forward to driving instead of dreading the daily commute. Alot more walking after avoiding parking near other cars. Making mod wish/build lists on parts websites. Always checking timeline feed on FT86 Club forums.
