Snoopy build- A thank you saga

Our GT-86 is in the land of Hello Kitty and other weird cartoon characters.

With the exception of Mr. Walker Mr. Wheeler, there is no more predominantly bi-polar figure then Snoopy and The Red Baron. Our Taiwan based 86 falls under the same category.

This car is an N/A AT daily driver but on weekends and track days it's been setting records and winning FiA sanctioned events.

This car has been upgraded using mainly FT-86 club member know-how and components so we figured we should give credit where it's due.

Exhaust:
Nameless
EL Header
OP Pipe
Track Tip
105db at 6,000 and is the best sounding exhaust at the track. Fully prepped GT class 86's are coming up to us just to ask where it came from. The car sings!

Off track use the stock muffler. The Nameless axle back is just too much on a DD with the EL header. OE muffler gives it a tinny Honda buzz (I don't care. Need to cover a lot highway miles).

We have good dyno data that will be posted.

Suspension
Ohlins R&T
Thanks to Racecomp Engineering, we've switch from the standard 330lb rated springs to 550/500 Faulkner springs with great results.
This car is a DD so chose Ohlins. They make the car so much better. High on the list of upgrades. Now that we are racing I can see advantages of racing dampers. However Ohlins have not gotten in our way yet and they are fabulous on the road.
Racer-X
Front lower CA's
Rear Upper CA's
These will be installed this week and will have more info soon. But we are extremely happy to have such "sleeper" components on our car. Great service and beautiful craftsmanship. Worth every penny and then some!
Whiteline
Rear Chassis bushings
These are a bitch to put in without a sawzall but man are they worth it!

Brakes
Essex AP Competition Brake system
CL-5+ pads as d/d
CL-6 pads for track
Started Ferodo DS2500. Smoked them on the track and screeched us to death as to death on the road.

CL-6's work hot or cold with the same feel at the start as the the end of a 30min session in +100* heat.

CL5s are super quiet and great street pad. Sintered pads are nice because no transfer material to worry about when swapping out track pads. They also last forever. Contrary to what many think they are gentle on rotors. Maybe not the initial bite some like but great all around pad. 15k km DD and 8 hrs of track time on the CL5s and hardly put a dent in them.

Jeff at Essex has been an incredible help. Working to fine tune our braking system to keep everything in order and maximize potential . Service is top notch

Engine
Delicious Tuning
Whipped Cream, N/A stage II tune
Bill Knose is a true Master.
We're almost ready for an upgrade but we want to dial our suspension in before we go for raw power. Still at 180whp and 205n/m torque
Crawford Intake risers
These are not installed yet for the same reason we haven't upgraded our tune
Laminova Oil Cooler
We saw this thanks to board member mtimney. Our AT wasn't allowing us to downshift when oil temps got about 130*C. We installed this cooler and temps dropped to 100-110*C range and we no longer have this issue. Great addition for engine and tranny conservation.
Hexon Racing Radiator
Locally Made. Nice piece and a required one in tropical conditions

Drivetrain
Autofactory 5.1 Final Drive
We ordered this gear set from a crazy guy in Japan (who is a great racer). This ratio along with the A/T gives us almost identical gearing as an M/T's 4.8 and has other racers scratching their heads.

High on the list of upgrades. Greatly improves driving. Nameless gave us lots of torque and this allows us to use it. Previously as DD never used 5th &6th gear. Now it is fine. Improved gas mileage being able to use tall gears. Plus now it can pull! Remember this is an auto and puts us on par with manual 4.8
Carbon Driveshaft, Drive Shaft Shop
Big bucks. Reduces NVH

Wheels/Tires
Daily Driver
Michelin PSS 245/40/17
Enkei RPF1 17x8 ET45
Open class
Kumho V710 245/40/17
Enkei RPF1 17x8 ET35
Spec-R Class/test and tune
Toyo R1R 235/40/17
Data 17x8.5 ET35
Maxxis 86 Cup
Maxxis RC-1 235-40/17
XXR 17x8.25 ET35

All wheels use a 20mm spacer. Originally it was 25mm front 35mm rear but the symmetry has helped with balance.

Pictures will be uploaded soon, but I had some time and wanted to type this us first. Thanks to the Admin folks on the board and to all the board members who are helping us create a true Porsche killer.

Great build! Do you have any videos of the car in action?

I realized we're better at taking notes then photos. Next time it's up on a rack I'll snap a few of the other components.

Here's just a few of the car and brakes, ohlins and rear upper CA's

Ohlin pic is when it still had original springs
