http://www.grimmspeed.com/images/pro..._frs_600_1.jpg I don't want to drill holes into my front bumper :s QLD Rules- http://www.tmr.qld.gov.au/Registrati...er-plates.aspx Quote:

the plate position doesnt bother me, they have to be on the car. whats wrong with the middle?
|
I don't live in QLD, but in NSW I have seen utes and some cars (rarely seen) have number plates on one side at the front of the car, as long as it doesn't stick out to the side too much like a saw thumb then i guess you'll be right, I've seen some tuner cars, my old neighbour that moved out was a tuner for his 200sx he was on HOT4s magazine once really old issue. He had his number plates on the side front bar of his car because he had no where to stick the plates and like you, he didn't want to pop holes in the front bar it'll ruin his air brushed art on the car.
you'll be right! |
the plate holder seems to come fitted from Japan so you will have holes on the bumper.
the picture my friend took at the port has the front plate holder fitted. for me if there are holes already, i can't be bothered. i'll take out the holder for a cleaner look since my plates are slimline. |
Wow it looks silly off to the side... I would just stick with the middle.
|
If it has a holder i will have to do it... but if it had no older i didn't want to drill holes.

Ricer fail :P
One of the Evo's (6 or 7 maybe?) did it because of the way the bumper was designed and having it in the middle would have blocked the intercooler a bit, ever since seems to have been the most hektic way to have your number plate... |
anywhere clearly displayed on bumper is acceptable
|
Why? youre going to have holes in the bumper where the original mounts were and there is no performance benefit to do so.
cars the have it from the factory have it because theres not enough space to mount or it blocks the intercooler. this car has neither of those issues. |

it can. according to the TRD front lip instruction.
|
I am with the "who cares, it doesn't add performance" way of thinking. Stock position is fine.
Rates as highly as calling debadging a "mod" IMO |
