Ignition Coil C replacing - need assistance

Ignition coil C has been setting off the CEL at high RPM so I bought a new one.

Anyone know where the C coil is located?

Also, how do I get to it?
It seems that the coils on the driver side of the car are somewhat manageable, although there doesn't seem to be much room for removal/reinstall. I can't even FIND the passenger side coils from a brief glance at the engine bay.

Sounds like the beginning of DI failure. :confused0068:

We already replaced the stock direct injectors a year ago and the turbo tune got rid of the DI issue.

Anything needed to be removed to gain access?

The passenger side coils sit just above the exhaust which is probably why so many are starting to fail on that side in particular. The ECU needs to be unbolted and moved out of the way for better top side access.

Some people added heat shield tape across the coil, and that got rid of their problem as well.
