Frustration related question...

Where the F can I find a list of explanations of various the tables for the FR-S ROM using ROMRaider?

For example, what is the difference between these?

Intake Cam Advance Angle Base AVCS
Intake Cam Advance Angle Safe AVCS
Intake Cam Advance Angle Normal AVCS

I can ASSume that the "Base" is just that. When is it used? "Safe" I'm ASSuming is the table the ECU uses when something is malfunctioning. "Normal" would seem to be the table the ECU uses for a healthy motor.

What about the various "A", "B", "C" tables?

Where the hell is this stuff written down? I've looked at all the guides, and none of this is covered that I have seen. I could have missed it, feel free to provide a link.

I'm just a stupid Marine, I need a fucking manual with small words and pictures.

Romraider often provides some info about the table.

open the table in question select it under one of the tabs at the top something like table properties ect often has a bit of an explanation of table..

also open the definition file for your rom its just a text file and search for table name, bit of info in there as well. ;)

Sometimes these things aren't fully known, the tables are discovered and defined but without a full knowledge of the ECU then it can just be best guesses.

All I can say is that I'm not sure when the base AVCS tables are used, I assume after startup, but the safe mode is when the IAM is below a certain level and normal is what the car should use if the car is running well. In ECUtek they are labelled Base, Low det and High det.

With an IAM of 1, it's not always the Base AVCS tables that are used on Ecutek...

Just seen it, don't know why...

Yeah, it should be the low det map.
