JDM Goodies

So I'm probably gonna get flamed for asking this, but whatever.

I recently signed for my own 2014 FR-S in Whiteout and I'm looking around for little things to add to the interior. JDM inspired, of course.

I'm probably not going to do it, since I think the Whiteout is the classiest color and stuff like this might make it feel tacky and cheap, but I wanted to see if anyone else has added little dumb things into their interiors, like the JDM New Driver badge, or Domo, or other things like that. I might add them in, once the new car feeling wears off.

Bring on the hate, because I can feel it coming as I was typing this post.

It's all in good fun.

I have the FLABS (Forward Looking Angry Bird System) in my car.

Please don't do the green and yellow new driver mark. In Japan, its required to have while driving if you've been driving less than a year.

Invest in a Broadway mirror to help with those blind spots.

Thanks for this. I'll be ordering one of these for sure.

Stuffed animals and "JDM fad items" look cool in your car.

Said no one ever.

There was that one kid that plastered "Student Driver" decals all over his car to be like Japanese racecar drivers. He'd probably think it was awesome and fully sick JDM yo.

Where do you find the domo for the mirror?

You could just get a regular one, they come in all kinds of sizes. They usually have a little loop on top to add to a key chain or something. Or you could just thread a piece of string through the fabric on top to hang from the mirror.

Here's where the photo is from.

Wow, I used to sell those badges to ricers like 7 years ago. They ate that shit up.

Sometimes I think I post this kinda stuff just for all the laughs that follow.

Thanks guys.

I have a Domo in a coffee mug on my desk. Had nothing to do with my car as it's been there since last fall after I found it at the mall. To me he represents the fun I've had on Fark.com over the years, nothing to do with JDM (the FR-S is my first "import" in 16 years of driving - though my GTO was technically an import).

Are they? I thought that was Egypt. I think in Japan they worship working 192 hours a week and schoolgirls.

Panda Mao 05-21-2014 12:19 AM

well the japanese work hard and have a strange respectful atmosphere with that said they have a hard time "socializing" behind professional appearance hence why their so perverted in the privacy of their home and tend to be sexual maniacs.

yes egypt does worship cats as part of the afterlife thing (i dont know too much about it) but the japanese worship them as good luck and as sort of a deity

you never seen the happy smiling cat statues they have all over the shrines? that or neko neko and chibi or basically my name mao is all some sort of cat words in japan lol
