visiting Toronto

Hey everyone,

I'm heading up to Canada for the first time this week and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for things to see and do in Toronto when I'm there. Thanks!

I've been away from TO for years, but CN Tower would be one cool thing to check out ;)

Canada's Wonderland (if you like roller coasters, etc...)
Toronto Zoo
CN Tower
Toronto Island
Any restaurant or brewery along the lake shore

I just came back from Ripley's aquarium which is more or less next door to the CN tower..
Bit of a rip off though... I went by myself, and after parking it was over $40 for an hour walking through the place at a leisurely pace..

Anyone ever been to the Bata Shoe Museum, I feel like that could be really cool... or terrible?

CN Tower

Ripley's Aquarium (short but it was pretty cool for the most part, definitely not a must see though since compared to other aquariums this one falls short by a lot especially for the price; and to note, I didn't see any turtles! you get to touch manta rays at best; just noticed you are in Chicago, this one has nothing on that one over there lol)

I went a couple years ago with my wife, definitely wasn't terrible. I didn't find it as interesting as she did, but it was still something worth seeing.

Thanks everyone! I think I have a nice list of places to visit now.

Well if you're coming up here, skip Toronto and get going to Niagara Falls.

Every time I pass by I keeping thinking about how much that real estate is worth and how little traffic the museum likely generates.

Where are you staying and how old are you?

Beautiful place nonetheless. **Canadian side..cough cough..

I take all my American family that come visit for the first time to Niagara. It's pretty extraordinary if it's your first time seeing and experiencing the falls.
