what bolt on performance parts should i get?

for a long time a i wanted to turbo or supercharge my car but i waited, and now i have began to realize that this car is really is the best thing i have driven and so much fun. i don't want to go FI any more but i would like maybe 20hp more and just a tad more kick in the torque. i dont want huge numbers i just want to make this fun little car a tad bit more fun using some bolt on parts, any thing y'all recommend intakes, headers, exhaust, any thing except for FI. thanks for the tips

Just the sound from an exhaust in my opinion makes the drive much more enjoyable. Everything else will be little horsepower gains for lots of money.

You're going to get thousands of opinions of people who will tell you what they have is the best. You need to research on here to find what is best for YOU. Find people with exhausts or parts you're thinking about and listen to their car. Ask questions to them. Then decide what you want.

Just your standard bolt-ons and a tune.

UnEqual Length/ Equal Length headers (EL headers generally have a high top end output), Over Pipe, Front Pipe, and a cat-back exhuaust, a drop in air filter, and a tune should be all you really need to meet your goal.

probably around 3 grand depending on what parts you decide to buy.

Pick a tuner and ask them what they recommend, what they have seen to give actual gains. Then choose from those products. The Delicious Tuning Q & A thread has some good info. Drift Office has done a ton of comparisons and posted them. And Moto-Mike seems well informed and has tune a bunch of different setups. Any of those guys would be a great reference, much better than the average customer.

OFT

If you want a consistent and reliable bump in to power then I would suggest you getting a tune first. By having a tune first, you can easily add on the parts you want to it and we have a map that will work fine with those parts for you. With a proper tune and added bolts-ons parts you can pick up 20hp reliably. If you have any questions feel free to let us know.

That was my very first mod! What a surprise, it's now standard on the 2015 models.

Here is what I would do:

OFT and OFH combo with a axleback for sound. Add a drop in filter and a noise delete inlet tube and your set for bolt ons to hit your goals.

Boofneenee 05-19-2014 05:35 PM

OFT and OFH for the win. Best grand you can spend for performance

gramicci101 05-19-2014 05:40 PM

Another vote for doing OFT/OFH plus an overpipe first. Then front pipe and catback to get the sound you want. Then drivetrain and steering bushings. Then suspension and suspension bushings. Then some made tite racing wheels, yo.

I had the nameless 5" with that exact setup and it was simply too loud for me. I had to sell it. Puttering around at 2k was sexy but apply a little throttle and my car sounded like an angry gorilla trapped in my trunk. I was constantly looking over my shoulder for cops anytime I goosed the car

gramicci101 05-19-2014 05:42 PM

Maybe try an Invidia Q300 or Perrin resonated catback? They're supposed to be a lot quieter.
