WRX vs Megane RS vs GTI w/perf pack
Nice comparison. Hard to argue with the bang for the buck on the WRX, but I like the look of the Megane a lot. Wish we got that hatch here in the States:

Renault apparently makes the best driving FWD hot hatches these days. I do like the look of the Megane III, although the new Clio and Twingo is likely what the new Megane will start to look like and I don't like the look of those cars.
French cars do have a mountain to climb though if they intend to return to North America. The old Renault Le Car, and the Renault Alliance and Medallion...definitely gave them a horrible reputation, a time when North America was starting to no longer tolerate rubbish from Detroit let alone France. Peugeot disappeared after the 505, I'm guessing its likely due to similar problems as Renault and all the Italian automakers that left like Alfa Romeo, Lancia and Fiat. |
The WRX is awesome.
Shame that the STI cannot have the same powerplant. At least the STI is faster than many cars, and WRX is faster than its competition. The only thing the competition has over these 2 cars is the fuel consumption. GTI , M235i, CLA AMG, and whatever its being compared to all have better MPG. We're in the age where MPG matters even on a performance car, considering there are many options that offer 30+mpg. |
I haven't seen the video, but I would guess:
- Megane as the best driver's car - GTI for best overall package and refinement - WRX for best performance (+ AWD) |

The WRX is awesome. Especially with claims that Ecutek tune can gain 50 AWHP up from 227 AWHP on the base line...that makes it as fast as the STI, but the STI has better suspensions, and everything else....just old engine LOL
