From the Heart of the MidWest (Indiana Check-IN)
Hello there,
The name is Justin, a Scion consultant at O'Brien Toyota/Scion on the East side of Indianapolis and also a future recipient of a Raven 2013 Scion FR-s. Having placed my preference in two weeks ago I am now in the eager position of just having to wait and watch the other units go to their happy homes. Recently our dealership has been allocated two more FR-S (unfortunately not mine yet) but I want to keep the community aware of what is currently available for reservation. If any of you are interested, please just simply post here as I will be updating of inventory as it changes. as of 5/19/2012: (1) Argento 6MT (available) (1) Firestorm 6AT (available) (1) Whiteout 6AT (reserved) (1) Hot Lava 6AT (reserved) Feel free to use this thread to ask anything, or even just check-in as I know that the FORUM community here in the Midwest (particularly Indiana) is at best very quiet, I was for the longest time as well. -Justin- |
NWI has a raven upspoken for coming in...well thats what he told me
|
Yo!! Lol I use to live in Gary,IN moved to Indy and now live in the Tampa, FL area. I am currently in Indy visiting family I will be here for a week. Does obrien have the car now. Cause I'll go buy it and drive it back to Tampa lol.

@alien junky, sorry man our firestorm, argento, and whiteout are currently going through processing at port. for us, it takes about 2 week for them to be freighted out to our lot after that. we should physically be seeing these units around the 2nd week in june

Justin, the Hot Lava AT may be available. That was mine (it was supposed to be manual), unless you've found another buyer. I'd be happy to test drive it, if it's not sold.
I had a deposit down for Hot Lava MT since the 1st 86 contest so I'm pretty frustrated that it came in as automatic. Who should I scream at? |
Ah, hello again!
Yes the Hot Lava was indeed yours, I am still seeing it as reserved as of now. We are expecting it to be dropped off between the 21st and the 24th. As I have heard the automatic is an amazing transmission and would highly recommend coming in and taking it for a spin once it comes in. Maybe it would be everything you are looking for. |
Moto-P has done a fantastic analysis comparing the manual trans and auto trans.
here: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6485 made me seriously contemplate the auto, and I still am until I drive it |
I would like to check out the automatic, just for fun. Barring any limb loss in the near future, I'll still want to buy the manual.
Thanks! |
Got an Argento 6MT preordered in Fort Wayne, IN @ Evans Toyota.
Drove a manual for the first time in my life today...'twas fun but I definitely have a couple things to work on next week when I have one more go at it. Gotta be somewhat prepared going into the FRS (my first manual!). |
So today I had an accident inside one of our Scion tC's and got a nasty cut in my finger. I don't really like needles so to take my mind off the stitches I just flipped through the massive collection of FT86, BRZ and FR-S pics on my phone. Mission Accomplished!

after driving around the northside this weekend it looks like Butler Toyota on 96th street has received a Raven AT (has yet to be PDI'd) I have no idea if it's reserved, just wanted to let the community know where they can find these cars.
