Awwww yiss, I got promoted at work

High-fives everyone!

And since HR had a slight delay in processing performance reviews, the promotions and salary increases that people received are retroactive to April.

I've only lived in two places in the United States: Phoenix and Seattle.

Seattle is much better.

Some main aspects about the area:
- highly educated population
- higher cost of living
- good tech area
- rains
- liberal

Yeah.

Yeah.

Oh gosh. Liberals. And Ew to conservatives too.

Is the higher cost of living much higher than California?

I was looking for certain places in Bellenvue and I did a bit of research. Seems like there's a lot of Asian-Indians over there.

I'm looking for a place that has Asian super markets, restaurants but away from the ghetto.

I was also told there's no state income tax either which is great.

OP, congrats on promotion!

I'm also considering a move to Pacific Northwest. Lot's of twisty mountain roads nearby too right? ;)

All the people in Bellvue palaces got them by selling their shitty shacks in Van Nuys and moving up here.
COL is much less than CA.

But it rains here all the time.

I love Washington state. If i didn't live in Cali, I'd live in Washington. Lived there when I was younger and my dad was stationed there, and I lived there when I was stationed there.

My aunt lives in Olympia and my Mother lives in Spanaway. I try to get up there as much as I can. Also Pikes is good SCCA fun
