Buddy Club Flasher Install Help

Having trouble installing this little POS. I can't seem to get the stock flasher out, no matter how much force or what direction. Am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated.. Below is the flasher I'm installing, and the location of the stock one.

If you don't know, it's the dark gray box in the back in the picture, and it's a freakin pain to get to.

@kalamitykode

I helped my friend install his and yeah. It seems like everyone else has some sort of magic trick to get it to come out except for us.

So basically an alternative solution is this: spend all of your effort and energy trying to just UNPLUG the wire attached to the original flasher

There is a little tab you need to press and hold down while pulling - it is similar to all other connection wires in that regard

This will also take some force and patience but it is much more precise and 'doable' than attempting surgery on the tab that holds the OEM flasher

So after you unplug the wire, simply plug the aftermarket flasher in and because it is so light, just zip tie it to any other wire of your choosing (you can even let it just hang loose)

The benefit of doing it this way is now the OEM flasher is still in its original spot and bracket and if you ever need it back for whatever reason it will be right there and you can plug right back up into it

I pulled the stock one out, that was easy enough actually by using a med screw driver as a lever.. what was hard was recovering the clip from the stock flasher.. I don't think it was removable by design.. however it can be done.. with force
