Beat-Sonic FDA9 shark fin Color is off?

Recently purchased this beat-sonic fin: http://www.beatsonicusa.com/fda9.html

Was wondering if anyone had the same model or at least the old style beat-sonic fin who could help me answer this..

The color seems to be off by a.. noticeable amount. Just wondering if this is within specification for the $120 piece of plastic or nah?

I have the 37J (SWP) version and the fin seems to be 'whiter' than the rest of the car.

Anyone else notice a color shade mismatch on their unit or am I being too critical here?

That's just the perils of owning a pearl staged white colored car

Did you install it yet? Mine looked like it was a slightly lighter shade of white compared to the car, but once it was installed it does not look off. I think it has to do with the way light hits the white paint on the car at a different angle than the antenna. Make sense? For what it worth, I have had mine on for a few months now and absolutely love the way it looks. Especially if you have a limited model with the rear spoiler.

i think age of the paint has something to do with it also.. the roof has already taken a beating from mother nature and the environment, where the roof fin is new fresh paint and hasnt been exposed to UV light and stuff

You have pretty much one of the worst colors to match. Without doing a bunch of tinting and test panels its pretty hit or miss when the painter has never even seen the actual car

I'm facing similar issues with my WRB beat sonic. everyone tells me its off in colour. it doesn't match the roof colour but it matches well at a side profile. my best guess is that its just the angle at which its viewed. been meaning to contact beat sonic to double check though

Guess I'm getting a shorty

Yeah, WRB here and it's just a *little* off. I'm living with it. Sounds like this happens even with oem with these colors.

Mine matches quite well, all things considered. I was actually surprised.
Unfortunately SWP looks different at various angles and that's just the nature of the paint. Sometimes my front bumper will appear mismatched with the body from far away but when you go close up it's not.
