Open Flash Tablet Help :(

I recently just received a used oft. I am unable to download my ecu on oft because the original owner still has his on it. Is there anyway to do a factory reset using open flash manager software? He called OFT and they said I would have to use the open flash manager and reset it to default, but I don't see that as a option anywhere??

Thank you!!!

Anyone? lol I'm freaking out over here.

You need to unmarry it from his ecu. I'm not the biggest Oft expert but I'm running it myself and bought it used as well. The original owner had to unmarry it from his ecu before I could do anything with it.

Well that's not good because the original owner lives in Oregon. He said he downloaded the original software onto his ecu?

I think Open Flash Manager is the computer program, not the tablet. If you buy a new OFT and you flash a preloaded stage, you'll never need to download OFM. If OpenFlash is telling you to do a factory reset through OFM, you may need to download and install it.

to reflash the oft back to unmarried/factory the original owner needed to flash his car with his original factory tune.

Contact the seller

He said he called and that I would be able to reset it somewhere on open flash manager but I see nothing. I would like to believe there should be a way to reset it some how or another lol

Yes, open flash manager is the program on the computer.

The original seller said he flashed it car back to original tune, was there something else he had to do on tablet?

Download OFM to a PC or tablet, connect the OFT via USB, and do a factory reset.

Also, @shiv@vishnu is the guru, he can better answer.

That is the problem, I don't see a factory reset.

zinzan 05-14-2014 07:33 PM

Why don't you just call Vishnu Tuning for support?

ScionFrsFan 05-14-2014 07:34 PM

They close at 4:30 lol

zinzan 05-14-2014 07:43 PM

Thought they were based in the East Bay? Isn't it just 3:30 there?

Update: Just called the number on their website and someone answered.

Not sure what to make of this thread at this point.
