Car almost stalls but clutch is all the way in when stopped

I've been lurking here for a long time, but recently I bought a used 6MT FR-S with about 10K miles on it. Everything is fine with it (shifts are smooth, clutch feels fine). But sometimes, when I stop at a light, and I have the clutch all the way in and it's in 1st, the engine will drop to ~400RPM and shudder like it's gonna stall, then quickly recover. This all happens when the clutch is fully in.

Does anyone else experience this? :iono:

Idle dip.
There is a TSB. The dealer will give you a new ROM.

And let me guess: AC is ON?

known issue. look in the warranty forum, it's plastered all over the stickies.

(did you even search, bro?)

Latest software doesn't do anything - I still have idle dip AC on or off.

I dont get the idle dip anymore (OFT stage 1).
I think it happens more when the temps begin to climb.
The AC compressor cycling on/off gets worse the hotter it is.

Almost brought mine in to get it looked at. Installed the OFT Stage 1 before I had a chance and it fixed the issue.

I didn't even think about this. It really only happens when I'm on my way home after my car has been sitting in the lot all day in 90F sun. I've always got the AC all the way up.

EDIT: Idle dip. Thanks guys. I have to go to the dealer for a sagging bumper anyway, so I will talk to them about a new ROM

I didn't, my bad. I was figuring this was something seriously wrong the way it gets within a hair of stalling.
