I don't know why but German cars just don't fill me with joy.

It's like they're missing something that would inspire passion that would lead me to believe they had a soul but I'm not getting it. There's no "ghost" in the machine for lack of a better metaphor. Usually only gremlins, very very expensive gremlins.

That looks sexy. I'll bet it still won't outperform a 911 though. Porsche is very particular about maintaining separation in their vehicle classes.

With how close a Cayman GTS already is to a 991 Carrera 2 (in some ways, it's already faster), I don't see how they could make a faster model without outperforming at least the base model 911s. If the pricing is as rumored on that linked website (~$125k), it had better outperform the 991 C2S as well, and will probably be tickling the heels of the 991 GT3.

EDIT: Oh, also, I want one!

Blasphemy

Porsche really just needs to come out in the open and say "Alright guys, the Cayman has more potential than the 911, so we're building the fastest one we can."

I know they won't. But they need to.

That is what BMW should do with the M2 too, but they won't.

We don't have any hard evidence that the M2 platform has proven to be better than the M3/M4 though. I mean the base car is barely out the door and the M2 is still in ninjamode, so we don't know how it'll perform at all.

3400 coupe...yeah, methinks it's not going to be awesome without some weight reduction. Just another 350Z.

That's a good amount lighter than the GT-R, and only a couple hundred pounds heavier than a Corvette.

The European prices are always much higher than the US prices.
