anyone used Bespoke

So as it says anyone use the Bespoke head unit yet. Do you think it will be worth what they say is $800 for it even though the TC shows it being half as much.

And I did do a search and couldnt find any updates on it

Rip-off alert...

It does not ave built-in GPS, and the apps to run a gps via your iPhone aren't out yet. As far as I am concerned, I feel like I got ripped off. And, I am one of the first to get it in my FR-S.

I think an aftermarket Pioneer app radio would be a better value. Bespoke seems rather expensive for not many features.

The tC one doesn't have the actual BeSpoke system. They look identical though. The current "Premium Radio" will be discontinued once the BeSpoke unit hits.

The app should be released on May 23, but don't hold me to that =P iPhone only from what I was told.

Android's FTW  They come with about 3 pre-installed navi apps so there is no use for a nav. Would be a nice little perk but not that important to me.

Nobody really navigates with a smart phone while they are driving. And app type radio from sony or pioneer is the way to go, use your smart phone for internet connection and they apps stream from it to the app radio.

Now the bespoke is suppose to be a bit more than just a app radio, since it is suppose to use the zypr cloud system to run apps in the cloud. The smart phone is your internet connection. You can also become a zypr developer for free and create your own apps.

somebody post the manual on how to use the bespoke system.

I'll post it up once the manual is available online (no pdf for it yet on TechInfo).

Wait, what? Most of the people I know that have GPS nav on their phone use their smartphone for navigation while they're driving. I do too, and half of what I do for a living is drive.

More like "A LOT OF PEOPLE" navigates with a smart phone while they are driving".

I use my iPhone as my primary GPS. The Tomtom app is fantastic, replaces the need for any kind of in-dash or portable unit.

My Droid X has the windshield mount. Works better than any portable GPS I've owned, and I've owned a LOT.

MTeator 05-21-2012 12:28 AM

Yeah, I only use my phone now as well.

I meant rolling with your smart phone in your hand and navigating with it, but yeah you can mount it to your windshield.

The smartphone screen is just too small to do real navigation while you are driving.
