best way to clean up engine bay and vortech pipes?

what does anyone use to clean up the engine bay and vortech pipes? on previous cars i used a tire spray but was wondering what else would be cost effective safe for engine and vortech and really make a shine under the hood?
i use hona spray and polinsh for out side of the car and makes it great to not have to wash it so hoping something is out there for the engine

thanks for any advise

Not so sure on the vortech pipes, but any all purpose cleaner/degreaser is good for the engine bay.

Do make sure to cover up any electrical parts, fuse boxes, alternators, etc...
Oh and exposed intakes, etc.

Here's a few...

If you're looking for a shine as well, that's a different story. Since most of the engine is plastic, go for Adams VRT or some plastic shine products.

Try to avoid a pressure washer or hose. We have a big compressor at the shop and it does a good job of getting all the dust out from my bay :) looks almost as good as it did the day I bought the car, shit my whole car looks almost as good as the day I bought it haha.

But if you have a compressor I would start with that, simple green and some micro fibers. Avoid tire shine or trim shine shit under the hood because it will only make the dust stick for next time and make cleaning an even bigger pain. Use the Compressed air as much as you can and really whipe in the bay and squeeze you hands in places.

Obviously in a sever case I would cover as much electrical I could with tape and bags and pressure wash the bay with degreaser all over. Then I'd use air to blast it all out and still get in there with rags.

Rags and some time are your friend :)

Then everytime you wash the car from now on use rags and air to touch up the bay!
