I totally misread "prom" as something else. I was thinking "That's every day, what is he talking about?"

My advice is not to take anything too seriously. No matter how great something is or how much something hurts or how in love you are, in two years it will be completely different. Live for the moment, enjoy the hell out of it, and keep moving forward.

Also, +1 for don't drink and drive. You can completely fuck your life, your date's life, and the lives of the family you hit straight to hell. And possibly kill some of them. Don't do it.
